It was the middle of autumn when it happened. A girl. A ordinary one, came from a rather poor family whose's parents ran a gardening store, she couldn't possibly have been targeted by an assassin. She didn't run away, if thats what your thinking, she was happy, honest, and had a loving mother and father. Her brother, although, had died recently. A car accident. He was 18 and just got his license and had taken the mothers car out for a ride, leaving but not knowing he'd never come back. Kuro had witnessed it. She had been there.
She had a different name, before the experiment, but lets just call her Koor.
"Koor, can you go off to the store?" Her mother called. She whipped around- wide eyed, then relaxed. she smiled and shrugged.
"Alright, what do you need?" she asked, obediently.
"Just a few things," her mother replied, handing her a piece of paper. she skimmed over it then nodded. Her mother handed her a wallet; which she stuffed in her pocket. Her mother left and Koor headed to closest. she peered in then grabbed a white hoodie and pure black pants. She shut her door as she headed out. "Im just worried about him, it's getting dark!" she heard her mother's voice.
"Just relax, Clair, Im sure he will be here soon." her father said, a smile on his face. He shoved his glasses up his face. Her mother sighed.
"I suppose your right." her mother plopped on the couch and turned the small TV on. Koor slipped out of the house- unnoticed. She walked down the street.
She hadnt gotten far- just a few steps- when she heard a loud screech. she whipped around and stared as a car came zooming toward her. she recolonized it and waved. "Hey, bro!" she barley had time to breath as the car swirved and waved then came to a crashing halt in a tree she was near, the metal bits cut into her flesh and ripped her hoodie. she let out a scream as the car exploded. The world went black.
"IS SHE AWAKE! LET ME SEE HER!" a familiar voice screamed. It hurt. Everywhere. Koor slowly opened her eyes- pain shooting through her. She groaned and shifted- pain shot through her once again. She fell back into her original place with a cry. "KOOR!" the voice called. Recognizable now. Her mother. Koor shifted her head to the voice. Her mothers wide blue eyes and curly black hair came into view as a blur.
"Mom?" she asked, feeling dizzy.
"Oh, precious!" her mouth hugged her, crying. "I thought I lost you as well."
"A-as well?" she managed to say through the pain. her mother hesitated- a grim expression.
"Y-your brother... He... He died in the crash... along with your father..." Tears began to flood her face.
"Oh my...." she trailed off, frowning. She hugged her mother and cried into her shoulder.
"She's free to go." she doctor said. The man in the white lab coat grabbed her roughly by the shoulder.
So much had happened. after her mothers visit she found out her mother had committed suicide. she was then passed over to a lab, which she had agreed to. she grumbled. "Here are her clothes, the hoodie is a bit torn..." the man snatched it.
"We'll just patch it up." he said grumpily. The man pulled her by the hair outside. she held back a cry and shut her eyes tightly. "Get in," she heard the voice. she opened her eyes to see the man shoving her toward a car. she staggered into the backseat and buckled up. "I am Pr. Rand, and this is my assistant Brine." he said, poking to another man. "When we get to the lab you will be testing some new experiment." she just simply nodded. "What is your name?" she thought back.
"K-Koor..." she muttered.
"Wrong, its nothing. Unknown. Test subject 001 to project 45," he said, almost snarling. he drove off. she looked out the blackened window.
"TS1P45....weird...." she said almost silently. Pr. Rand or Brine didnt hear.
her eyes flickered open- pain throbbing through her. "GET THE HELL UP!" Rand's voice shouted at her, slapping her across the face. she gritted her teeth then shook her head- rising slowly. "Hurry the hell up!" rand said. "Its testing day." she yanked on he arm and shoved her out of her cage. She said nothing as she followed him- slightly limping- toward the door. she exited then reappeared in a dark room. the lights flickered on and test tubes, pipes, and this huge machine appeared. the machine had two large test-tube like things about the size of a man. She hesitated then was shoved toward them.
"A DNA transfer-er." Brine said. TS1P45 nodded, walking toward it. Rand opened the door then pushed her in. "remain still or it wont work." he said. TS1P45 hesitated as the door shut. she began to breath. Rand flipped a few switches then poured a few liquids into a cup then gently pushing it into the second tube. TS1P45 longed for that gentleness. she looked away and frowned. Rand pulled a few switches then a few buttons. he nodded to Brine and he pulled a leaver. there was this high buzzing sound then TS1P45 widened her eyes and let out a unheard scream as it felt as if she was being electrified. She began to bang on the glass tube and flung herself across the tube. suddenly she heard a muffled shout and then the pain dulled. she slid to the floor and shut her eyes. she heard the door slide open and she flung herself out- barging past Rand. she slumped on the floor and panted, curling onto a ball. she just laid there. Rand kicked her in the side.
"You fucking moved and messed up the experiment you bitch!" he growled, and threw a hand mirror on the floor beside her. The mirror shattered and sliced her finger a bit. she winced and reached for the biggest shard. she stared in- widened her eyes. her pupils had become no more then slits and she had sprouted black ears from her brown hair. she stared at herself and tilted her head. "Now you have human and wolf DNA, a failure." he said, shoving her with a foot. she dropped the glass and frowned. she slowly stood and frowned, a mixture of feeling coming over her. she let out an animal growl. Her vision seemed to turn red and her eyes widened. she glared at Rand- feeling his hostility. "What the- AHHHH!" he let out a scream as she leaped at him, razor sharp teeth sinking into his shoulder and ripping off a chunk.
She pulled and bit into his flesh. She scratched at his chest and ripped his clothes. he struggled then stopped. the scent of heavy death and blood lingered around her- it calmed her. she looked up and stood. she turned to Brine who had grabbed a gun and was inching toward the exit. she snarled as his fear overcame her. it made her feel as if she could do anything. she lunged toward him. he screamed and shot her but she just dodged and snarled more. she did a final leap and pinned him, ripping into his shoulder and pulling off meat. She stood and loomed above his body, twitching slightly. she stared down at her jacket- black patches and mainly white... now stained with thick red blood. she let her arms drop to her sides and stared in horror. she began to back away then raced through the lab. she skidded to a halt. If they saw her face then they'd know who did it. she glanced around- gaze resting on a black mask that faded to a white at the botton and had a red patch over the single blue cloaked eye. she snatched it then put in on. she flipped on her hood to hide her ears and raced out of the lab. she kept to the shadows as she headed off.
She arrived at her house. it was burned down... probably how her mother had died- lighting the house on fire and not leaving. she slowly walked toward the broken and charred house. she bent down and brushed the ashes away. she lifted what she had found. a spade. simple with a fine brown handle. it was almost not burnt. she wiped it off on her jacket then shoved it in her pocket, slowly walking off. She was a monster... but that feeling... she'd need to feel it again... she lifted her hand and stared at her finger. black blood oozed from her finger. "I dont want to be TS1P45... I dont want to remember my family... I dont want to remember that... I dont want to be Koor... I..." she paused. "Kuro Chi. Black Blood. It matches myself.... black blood." she grinned and pulled the mask over her face then walked down the dark streets, letting her tail drag and ears droop under her hood. she smiled softly. "This wont be soo bad... Kuro Chi... Kuro... Its nice..." she frowned. "Whatever..." she said- letting the darkness consume her as she walked through the night.
